Helen Caloggero Women’s and Family Center

I wanted to leave a positive review for the Helen Caloggero Centre, as I was surprised to see that it only has 2 stars on Google. Looking through the comments, it seems that the low reviews are mostly related to parking prices rather than the services provided at the centre, which I believe is somewhat misleading. I have had an excellent experience of the Helen Caloggero Centre over the last year, over my pregnancy and now with a little one. I have had my 20-week ultrasound scan, a postpartum mother-baby check-in, classes on childbirth, breastfeeding and infant massage, and baby’s hand and foot imprinted here. The underground parking spots & fees are ridiculous (various staff said the bldg owners refused to provide discounts/validations), the parking spaces are too small for any trucks or SUVs (prepare to have your car dinged like I did), and the long wait times in the offices contribute to even more parking fees. Beautiful building and it was nice witnessing the process as it was going up, but I dread coming here and even try to get referrals elsewhere just to avoid the mess here! This isn't just about the parking... The imaging center for mammograms doesn't have the same level of service as the staff that was at the old location. Place is a joke!! Starting with Parking and attendants if you drive a truck or SUV better of parking next door at St Joseph's visitors parking structure. Second and worst they dont validate. parking 5 dollars first two hours and a simple mammogram took almost two hours. They want you to answer questionare with important and personal information in front of everyone walking in. Just paying for parking there is almost insulting. Very limited staff.

I’ve been coming to this facility for the past couple of months for ultrasounds and other testing. This past week I had testing and we waited for 15-20 minutes for a receptionist to come out to the check-in counter because everyone was celebrating something in the back. A line began forming when everyone in the lobby started hearing people cheering from the back conference room. I understand office gatherings for celebrations and whatnot but to do it with a lobby full of people waiting to be checked in and waiting to be seen is ridiculous. There are times for things like that. Majority of the time people are there for less than 30 minutes anyways. We gotta do better

The building is nice but parking fee is gouging and ridiculous! I will be parking across the street and walking over (easy and close); maybe if we all do this they'll stop using the parking fees to pay for the actual building... isn't that what office rents are for?
