Health First Palm Bay Hospital

I was taken here by ambulance and ended up needing surgery as well as having to spend a few days in the icu. Overall I can say I felt very taken care of by my doctors, nurses, and CNA’s. Shout out to the night shift nurses who consistently went above and beyond to help me recover. Not to mention, the food service workers especially were so kind and helpful. I genuinely can say I’m happy I was taken here.

Went to visit my father in the icu. My parents and I talking some political stuff. When a nurse walked in and right out of her mouth was, I wish he has a heart attack and dies. My parents and I looked at her, and we're like who? And she said, Trump. It's very appalling for anybody to say this. But an ICU nurse is mind blowing. I would have been offended if she said this about Biden. She shouldn't be wishing death on anyone. And then I called the hospital to report it. And I was told some one would call me back. No one has. And for her to come in the room like that, and say that, you know they are comfortable talking like that in the hospital.

Is it normal practice to not take a blood pressure or any vital signs when triaging a patient that comes in with active withdrawal. Said patient is a disabled Department of Defense worker with a 24 year practicing registered nurse as a wife. Also, is it normal practice to discharge a patient back outside when he tells you that he wants to put himself in front of a moving dump truck? These aren’t hard questions but they are hard answers I’m assuming! I’m sure AHCA would love to hear all about this!

I just came home today from a 2 day stay via the ER for a cholecystectomy. Came in at 2am via the ER and was seen and brought back within 5 minutes. Everyone was kind and helpful. Did lab work up and ER doc spoke with general surgery on staff and was moved to observation within 2 hours. Was told surgery might not be for a day or 2. Thankfully that changed and I was brought to Preop at 12pm for a 1PM surgery. Was brought back into the OR right after 1PM. After surgery and PACU, I got back to my room and was brought dinner. Through out my stay I had 1 dinner meal and 1 breakfast. Both were great meals! I was kept comfortable via pain meds and my nurses checking up on me throughout the night. This morning discharge was very quick and easy! I was out by 12PM. I will say, this was one of my be

This hospital is so amazing and I’m so thankful for them helping out my dear senior friend who is going through many transitions in her body. They were able to test out to see exactly what was wrong with her. They found out that she had to 3 -infections and she almost lost her life. She’s currently on life-support and they were able to stand by her side And so she will stabilize. Thank you so much for your efforts. Way you guys truly cared for her and stood by her and make sure she got the best care one by one. Everyone was very polite and made sure she was able to breathe again. Some people have special gifts to work in a place of trauma. I’m happy God chose you guys.
