I truly wish I could give this stay zero stars, I want to express the only positive before all the negativity. the nurses and only the nurses were good. They did they're best to provide adequate care with the rules and regulations they have to follow i.e. doctors always right. They're completely overworked and don't have the support they need. I was admitted due to an infection that upon arrival they said was nearly septic. They did blood cultures and said that they needed to find the specific bacteria that was affecting me. i was told that I would be covered with a broad antibiotic until they could single out which they needed me on. the blood cultures would take two days. It is with a heavy heart that I share this review. My daughter was transferred to Swedish Medical Center from a hospital in Colorado Springs because of the specialized care she requires. Unfortunately, our experience so far has been deeply disappointing. She has been placed in a room directly outside a nursing station where call bells sound for hours without being addressed. She does not have a phone in her room, which means she cannot order meals or communicate without physically going to the nurses’ station. When she presses her call button, she often waits close to an hour for a response. I want to be clear that this is not a criticism of individual nurses. Such a really nice facility where my husband was transferred from another hospital to Swedish where his care for a rupture appendix the man was always in pain and when he called for help the favorite words the nurse stations would say "ok I'll let your nurse know ok 25min go by then we called again they repeated again ok "I'll let your nurse know ok now there goes 45min and again we called again 1hr 15min later this was always going on and my pr husband had to be stuck in that hospital only because that was the place where they take care of the infection. I had hernia repair surgery at Swedish last week and was taken care of very well by the staff. They were kind, personable, informative, and efficient without being rushed whatsoever. Ultimately a very successful procedure with an excellent recovery, much easier and faster than i anticipated. Thank you to the staff at Swedish and Dr. Paul Alvord of SurgOne.

Although I live 200 miles away from Swedish hospital, I was encouraged to know that it was possibly the best place for me to go for neurosurgery. Although I was very afraid, the surgery went well, and I have strong expectations of a thorough recovery. The personnel were all very professional. The nursing staff was exceptional, friendly, and helpful – unlike other places I have been.
