HCA Florida Senior Healthcare Center at Springhill

Even if you are insured, this is an HCA outpost and they will charge you a non-refundable, out-of-pocket "facility fee" for each visit ($120). They give you a form saying that you "may" have to pay this fee, without even giving the amount. Spent an hour on the phone with HCA, no one could confirm whether I would be charged or not. I made the mistake of trusting the last employee I talked to who said that I would not. 2 weeks later I got the bill (FYI, there is an article in the 3-26-24 New York Times about this scam).

The phone operator (lady) is very rude. Her tone of voice sounded amiable when she picked up the phone. But when she heard me speak (latino accent), her tone totally changed. She made me feel that she is superior and I am a worthless mediocre folk wasting her time. People like her shouldn't be sitting on that desk answering phone calls. She represents the organization. And to act with entitlement over other ethnicity is simply detrimental to Senior Healthcare Center.

Called up this office and the receptionist didn’t care about what we had to say. We had a family emergency and was trying to find out what hospital my family member went to and she was talking over us and would not listen to what we had to say saying let me transfer you to a nurse when we didn’t need a nurse she had no clue and wouldn’t listen to find out where we needed to go. Talk about rude and inconsiderate. Grow some manners you rude woman.

The staff and doctors make you feel comfortable no matter the purpose of your visit. They really care for your health. Great place to bring your love ones.
