HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital

I had a great experience at this hospital. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the staff truly made a difference during our visit. One of the head nurses, Andrew, clearly has great leadership and control over his team. You can tell the staff respects him, and everything ran smoothly because of it. Our nurse, Miss Jocelyn, was absolutely wonderful super friendly, kind, and made us feel right at home while being treated. Her sweet personality and care really stood out and helped ease the entire experience. I also want to recognize the main communicator Dr. Naysha Lopez. She was incredibly kind and relatable. Last night I experienced severe chest pain indicative of a heart attack (turns out it wasnt) so I checked in @ the ER HCA Poinciana. Truly exceptional & courteous service from the receptionist at the start, Dr. Colon, nurse Jashua & the entire ER team, Professional staffers like Shawn in transport, his approach is warm and welcoming. I had one x-ray & two CT scans; Imaging dept stands on business! Albert,Ateba,Brandy they take time explaining the process & providing comfort. Finally made my way up to Med-surge (3rd floor) for observation and some other test. This part of my short stay was like the cherry on the ice cream. Nurse Yuliany & Patient tech Dorothy THANK YOU! 🫶 And of course I managed to receive two delicious meals from an exceptional, vivacious diet clerk Victoria. 🫳 🎤

I am new to the area (from SoFlo) and a visit to urgent care then led to a visit to the ER. I was nervous because I haven't heard great things about HCA. WELLLLLLL, it was an amazing surprise to find the ER nurse receiving walk ins with a service attitude; they took me in right away (supposed heart + 60 issues) and the room they gave me was clean, the hallway was clean, the staff was pleasant and Jocelyn,the RN who was shorter than I am was a bundle of energy and joy. Kudos to all who had a part in my care on Saturday night. Let's just say, I am not so afraid of having to end up there anymore, but let's hope I don't have to.

Since the moment I took my dad to the ER, I stated that he suffered from dementia. He is not able to verbalize what he needs, nor will he ask for help to the bathroom. The second day, I found my dad unattended. He smelled. He wet himself several times. So much so, his entire gown was wet. The bed was wet. Nurse Adonis, who was not assigned to my dad came in and quickly noticed my mom was struggling. I appreciate Nurse Adonis for taking the time to help my mother, as she took my dad a shower. Nurse Adonis washed the bed thoroughly, then put clean sheets and a clean blanket, helped my mom, and gave her clean towels and a clean gown. Nurse Adonis went beyond his scope of services to assist. I was admitted overnight under observation. Although this didn't resolve my issues, everybody was extremely helpful. Nurses nurses assistants vital techs, and also Dietary were all wonderful. Dorothy, Sandra, Lenard, Gilbert( not sure if that's right) everyone was great
