Plenty of room for A lot of improvement, their kitchen serves meals on chipped and cracked plates. Kitchen staff ignores known allergy warnings that are clearly marked in red on the ticket I had to repeatedly tell them. The kitchen feeds these residents in tiny portions these are adults not 5 year olds in daycare. Example in the morning they give an "egg bite" and cold toast for breakfast that "egg bite" is the size of a fifty cent piece. They also have a second menu that's "always available" when you inquire about this kitchen acts like it's such an imposition. When they give "showers" they treat the residents like it's a car wash. Or they act like they are washing animals. This comes from word of mouth experience. Direct from the source.

I just recently finished a 5 week stay at Harmony for therapy following a very long hospital experience. What a fabulous place to be if you need skilled nursing care. Food was very good and always hot. Nurses, therapists, nurse aids and all of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The therapists were all very knowledgeable, attractive and motivating. I started out with a poor attitude about my chances for being mobile. The way they work you, teach you and become your friends is outstanding. They helped me to turn the corner, work hard and do extra when possible. I would recommend Harmony 100% for anyone in need of skilled nursing care, physical and occupational therapy or any other available services. Also every patient has their own guardian angel to advocate for them.

My mom stayed at Harmony West Des Moines for short-term rehab and the care was outstanding. The therapists took time to explain her treatment plan, and the nurses always checked in with updates. The facility was clean, and we truly felt like she was in good hands.

Impressed with how clean and inviting the facility is. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is excellent. Definitely recommend Harmony Des Moines!
