Hannaford Pharmacy

Called and asked for my prescription to be refilled. The lady asked for my name and information, all was well until she asked me what the medication was. When I told her she paused, her voice changed tone and oddly said you need to ask your doctor for that. I responded oh weird they messaged me that it was approved for refill and I just needed to call my pharmacy. She gave me an akward okay and said goodbye. This was on a Sunday so I couldn’t call my PCP office to verify. I went about my normal day and headed to hannaford to get my groceries. A couple hours later (after returning from hannaford) I got a call saying my prescription was ready for pickup. Tried calling three times and just get "high call volume, try again later. *Click*." Oh well, guess I'll just go see if my prescription is ready, it's been almost a week, it must be. Wait in line for half an hour just to be told it's not ready yet. Every time in the past that I've called (and gotten through to someone) they say it's not ready yet, but it will be soon. It's like they wait until you call them or come in to ask before they bother to fill your prescription. So frustrating.

Not once not twice, but three times when calling in a refill I was told it would be ready in an hour to two hours. Three times I showed up more than five hours later and it wasn’t ready and then they decided to tell me they didn’t even have the medication’s. Today’s excuse when I showed up was it’ll be another 20 minutes they were 150 prescriptions behind, then why did they tell me at 1 o’clock it would be ready at 2:30 and here it was 7:30. Pharmacist are extremely rude on more the One occasion. I will say the Techs Have always been extremely friendly and polite. I hope that they would get better and remained going there cause it was a convenient location, but when I go there three or four times and can never get my prescription it is longer convenient. Customer service is great if you can get past the wait times. Yarmouth Hannaford seems to think they can handle the greater Portland area with 10 employees between the store and the pharmacy. Might help if employees got their thumbs out of their butts to. Stopping in to grab a prescription should not take up to an hour. That is truly unacceptable. It must be real hard counting beans and putting them in a jar. Yarmouth Hannaford is just an all around terrible experience every single time. But the 10 employees are friendly.

I can't say enough good things about this pharmacys staff. They go above and beyond and are always extremely pleasant. They are understaffed but still managed to go above and beyond. I'm mad that I had to switch pharmacys bcuz I would drive hours just to go to this one. All of their staff need raises. This should be 5 stars!!
