Patients beware: unethical billing practices. I paid my bill on time, in full, and the check wasn't cashed until nearly two weeks later. In the meantime, my account went "past due" and was sent to collections, all because this business is unable or unwilling to process payments in a timely manner. The individual people with whom I've spoken have been wonderful and helpful. I just had to threaten legal action to get a call back in the first place. Unacceptable.

Billing department phone hold time is at least 45 minutes. When they do answer their accent is difficult to understand. They claim they understand the problem, theirs, then they keep calling and if you happen to miss the call it takes a miracle to have a live agent answer the phone.....TERRIBLE!

They are absolutely unprofessional in every way. I notified them a collection showed on my credit report. Hampton Roads Radiology failed to ever submit the claim to my insurance. Their response was “since it’s been 2 years there is nothing we can do, we can’t submit it now due to time limitations”. Keep in mind this just showed on my credit report today 8/16/2024. After calling my insurance company they never received the claim. Otherwise it would have been paid for in full. The nerve they had to turn me into collections without following instructions and doing their job by notifying me and providing my insurance with the claim is beyond me. They never even sent me a bill and had my correct address. These people need to shut their doors and close down. Let someone else do the job properly

Absolutely unprofessional establishment… they are trying to come after me for a bill that my insurance company has already paid. My insurance company told me they already paid the bill, verified the amount and date they paid it, and this place is trying to come back and balance bill me! They are doing something illegal and my next step is a lawyer!

I'm using this site for my review of 'Hampton Roads Radiology Assoc' because the address on my billing statement is a PO Box in Ohio. It isn't bad enough that we all have to deal with this convoluted medical-insurance system, but then you have to deal with companies like this who don't do their job. I've been working with them for years and I'm just tired. The first bill is often wrong (This despite the fact that I ALWAYS ask them at the time of service, "Do you have all my insurances on file?"). So then I have to waste my time and contact them to remind them I have multiple insurances, and they always respond with, "Oh our apologies, we'll resubmit the claim."
