Hamden Dental Care

I needed to find a new dentist for my elderly dad who struggles with hearing loss and aphasia. I explained that x-ray bitewings make him gag, so he only wanted him to come in for routine cleanings. Lindsey and Carmen were very friendly and welcoming, and said that wouldn't be a problem. Arwa, the assistant was very gentle and kind. Why I especially wanted to write this review is because it was Dr. Ortiz who made the biggest impression with her outgoing, warm personality, and truly compassionate care. She was able to communicate with my dad in a way I have not seen done before, as she guided him through the exam and cleaning procedure, making it fun, safe and enjoyable for him (us) too. Thank you, Dr. Ortiz!!!

As always my visit was great. Doc is so easy to talk to and answers any question I have with patience and compassion. The staff is professional and friendly. This time it was an emergency visit and they got me in and out with so much ease. I highly recommend this practice. Thank you Hamden Dental for your commitment and passion!

The dentist here started our appointment 45min late. Once it finally started, he proceeded to chat with me, which I thought was nice. But then 2hrs later he was still chatting and hadn’t really cleaned my teeth. Finally he spent 2 min and then ran to his next appointment. The assistant came in 20 min later and didn’t realize I was still there with fluoride still in my mouth. We asked to be taken off their patient list and to send records to another dentist office. Months later they have not complied with our requests. I really wanted to like this place, especially with all the good reviews. But I have to recommend to steer clear of this place.

I had an emergency situation and called the office. I had never been there before, and Carmen told me to come right away. I filled out the paperwork, they got me in the back for x-rays, and the doctor came in. I was in and out in an hour and honestly, it was the most pleasant experience I've ever had at a doctor's office! The receptionist, the hygienist, and the doctor, are all so kind and sweet! Receptive, respectful, all smiles, clean office, just all around wonderful! I've definitely found my new spot for my family's dental needs! Thank you all so much!

I love Dr. Green. His bedside manner is amazing!! I've never enjoyed going to the dentist but he has made the experience soooo much better than I've seen before. My entire family visits his practice and they absolutely love him and his assistant Carmen. The practice is like a family. You feel comfortable and relaxed. Thanks guys!
