Hackensack Meridian Urgent Care - Long Beach Island

We live on the island seasonally so we don’t have a pediatrician here for our 2 young kids. On 3 separate occasions, I’ve taken my kids to this urgent care. Every single time, they’ve been treated quickly and thoroughly. We’ve avoided emergency rooms or lengthy trips home to their pediatricians. The staff has been so considerate and I have a great deal of comfort knowing that my kids have such amazing care, right down the street. Very grateful for this urgent care and the treatment given to my family.

I brought my adult daughter with special needs to their office. The office, nurse and doctor were all excellent. Understood her communication difficulties and treated her quickly.

Husband went in for stitches after a fall - from the front desk, to the practitioner, to checking out - this was the most seamless, friendly and efficient staff we have ever met. We were in and out (including filling our prescription) in 45 minutes. We left saying we have never had such a great experience at an urgent care.

I went to the urgent care for a back injury while on vacation. Front desk and nurse were both very nice. The doctor wasnt flat out rude but his bedside manner was not good. He seemed rushed and annoyed when I wanted to ask questions. As a nurse I wanted to make sure he had the full story of what medications I’ve already tried and that I’ve had prior injuries to the area. He barely wanted to let me speak. He walked out of the room and didn’t say goodbye so I wasn’t sure that the visit was even over yet. I yelled thank you as he walked down the hall and his response was “yup”.

My 12 year old son had cut his arm in multiple places badly. The staff brought him back immediately, assessed the injury, and was able to clean, numb, and stitch promptly. The nurse's were wonderful, and the doctor who helped him did everything she could to keep him calm. Asking about his favorite music, and putting on a playlist while stitching to help him remain calm. I'd recommend Hackensack Meridian Urgent Care without hesitation.
