Gunnison Valley Animal Clinic

I took my 12:pound schnauzer in to get spayed. I wasn't worried at all about it since it is a low risk procedure. Then I got the phone call from the vet saying that she died. They got done with the surgery and turned her over to clean her teeth and she had a heart attack. They must have overdosed her with the intermuscular anesthesia because she was a perfectly healthy dog. I have cried for days. I'm still in shock. She was my best buddy. I can't believe how sad I am. And I can't believe how guilty I feel for choosing this clinic to do the surgery and kill her. I'm completely devastated

My husband called this morning to inquire about dental cleaning services. The receptionist gave him all the information and pricing. We called back one hour later to schedule the appointment, and only then were we told that they are not accepting new patients. We asked if there might be a future date when they would start accepting new patients again, and she simply said, “I don’t know, not anytime soon… check back in six months.” She also asked if we live in the area, which we thought was a little strange. Very unprofessional. The information about not accepting new patients should have been explained during the first call.

We have taken all our animals here to get spayed and neutered. They have the best pricing I’ve ever seen. The last few trips were significant with our cat. She got into a fight with a dog and we brought her into the clinic. They saved her life and we couldn’t be more thankful! They treat us and our animals the way we do! Best clinic in the world!

What’s the point of an emergency number if you call it and it goes straight to voicemail. Would give this place negative stars if I could. Edit. How about you be respectful with your response instead of the heartless rude questions. Do better. You fail as a vet clinic in every aspect. I stand by what I said. I’ve never called a vet clinic with an emergency and been sent right to voicemail. You are the first but apparently you guys are heartless and don’t help anyways if they aren’t a current client. Who does that? You that’s who. Since they deleted their comment I will add the photo of the pathetic answer they gave

My parents poor little yorkie was attacked by my sisters neighbors hunting dog. They called the emergency line and never got an answer. My dad had to hold her while she died. It’s so messed up that a clinic wouldn’t pick up the phone and help an animal. Their dog didn’t deserve that and the vet clinic needs to be better. Negative stars. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!
