Growing Smiles

The team always makes sure they take care of us. They are so kind, warm, accommodating and welcoming in every regard. Everyone is amazing here but I must give special consideration to the support staff who handle scheduling, checkin/out, notes for school, insurance correspondence, etc. They are so patient and flexible- especially for someone who needs multiple things for multiple children and struggles with organization 😅🫣. We’ve also worked with probably all hygienists and dentists at the belair location. These are humans that are clearly doing what they know and love.

We recently had the first visit for our 1 year old son. The clinic was well staffed and everyone was welcoming and friendly. The hygienist and Doctor were great and took time to answer all of our questions. Very happy we picked Growing Smiles for our son’s dental care.

I want to begin with saying I’ve never had an issue with the front desk staff or the hygienists, or the female dentists. However, my 5 yo son and I had a very negative experience with Dr. Lyman today. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I feel like this needs to be said to warn parents who are in a similar circumstance. Years ago we alerted the practice of my son’s anxiety and sensory processing disorder. It is in my son’s chart, so this should not have been surprising. The hygienist today was very kind and tried her best to be accommodating. During the cleaning and exam my son was gagging and crying and starting to panic. Dr. Lyman went from saccharine sweet to nasty at the drop of a hat. He grabbed my son’s face and raised his voice, telling my son to stop it and that he was scarin

So dentist and hygienist did great. But then counter staff called me disruptive and disrespectful and to leave. And I didn't do anything. Crazy how rude people can be. I'm not coming back and I will tell everyone I meet about it until they call and apologize to me. This is so crazy to call me disrespectful and rude and I didn't do anything. So crazy how these clowns think it's normal. I won't be forgiving or forgetting. Sucks I lost a good doctor for poor staff. Added letter they sent with no one signing it. Not an apology. Guess I'll just keep telling my story of ignorant employees gas lighting me. Clowns must not understand when you do things to people there are consequences. Wish I had the video of it from there office. Be good to show true colors.

Dr Diana has made a huge impact in our children’s oral health! We started coming here 13 or 14 years ago when we needed a second opinion for our two year old. A different pediatric office had told us she needed 8 crowns, placed under anesthesia at a hospital. Doctor Diana was so patient and listened to all our concerns and took time to write answers to all my questions. She looked at my daughters teeth very carefully and told us she didn’t think that was necessary. With Dr Diana’s skill and counseling (including fluoride varnish and eventually a few fillings in the office) and our diligent changes to habits (including xylitol after meals and snacks), we were able to save all her teeth without crowns.
