Grifols Interstate Blood & Plasma Donation Center

I donated years ago at Biolife in Eau Claire. The newer system is certainly streamlined! Answer donor questions on phone instead of a kiosk, website tells you everything you need to bring your first donation, and they got some new machines that seem to go a bit quicker. From the time I walk in and out is normally less or around an hour. Staff is friendly and efficient. So far, no issues!

My arm is still hurting, I am not sure how this facility is operating. I had a reaction and the nurse pulled me out early so whatever was supposed to go back in my body, i feel it did not entirely go back! Also since i was unable to donate entirely, I feel the nurse said something upfront so they cut my money. The Nurse also constantly kept staring at me and that seemed concerning. It did not feel like she was closely monitoring but it added to my discomfort and anxiousness! Third class experience! Nurses are supposed to empathize with patients not add to their existing anxiousness!

I absolutely love coming to this facility to donate plasma. The team is exceptional in providing the best care. Everyone works well together and makes for a smooth donation process. I get taken care of right away and haven’t had a bad experience. Great Job!!!

I have had a wonderful experience at this center and never once felt like my life was in danger, wow people are dramatic! I have been donating at this center for over two years now and have never once felt like the staff was rude to me or used a poor tone. One of my favorite staff members is Eva, she always has a smile on her face and makes me feel comfortable with the whole process. This center just got new machines that they are adjusting to so a little patience can go a long way! In fact, I was shocked at how well they adjusted to them, still very minimal wait times :) Do not be fooled by these poor reviews. First time donating and lost consciousness at very end. I’m a future physician trying to raise money before I start residency. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin school of medicine medical doctor program 2 weeks ago. I am not afraid of blood at all I have been a part or many surgeries so that is not the reason I passed out….. They took almost a liter of blood at a very fast rate for the last 15 mins because I wasn’t giving blood fast enough - and at the end I passed out! It’s very hard for me to pass out I have been apart of many surgeries and have had a few procedures on me. I was volume depleted! Their machine was malfunctioning. They did not check on me and I had to complain many times my arm is leaking blood and they said that it was “ok” and proceeded. My injection site was
