Great Expressions Dental Centers - Valrico

I came here with my mom a few weeks ago and I will have to admit, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs to get their teeth checked! The staff and the ladies who took care of my teeth were super nice and supportive, and they did a great job examining and cleaning my teeth. They also recommended things that would further benefit the health of my teeth and gums. I could, I would totally give this place more than 5 stars! They deserve it!

I'm giving my star to Tequila & Whisky! They're two of the ladies who work in the office. The receptionist was lovely as well. But a huge thank you to Tequila, she's kind, personable and cares about you. She actually held my hand while the Dr pulled, cut and sutured.She knew something was wrong. Let me make it clear, she never said it but I could tell by the knowing and caring look in her eyes. Dr Dixon started by addressing me as Sir. I look nor sound nothing like a sir and have never been treated so disrespectfully by any other "Professional" or otherwise. I'm transgender and I get the distinct feeling this offends her. Even though it's none of her business nor does it affects her life in any way what so ever. (I felt comfortable enough with one of the employees to tell her I was Trans.

Great expressions Valrico is outdated, dilapidated and workflow is slow with appts untimely. My poor experience started with my phone call whom receptionist failed to get my portal set up nearly 3-4x. 1. Missed updating my phone number 2. Missed email, 3. Missed access request. Off day? hopefully!🤞🏽 Though the reception area looked decent, Equipment and rooms were definitely sketch, health code enforcement please pay them a visit. Corporate please give them new equipment and perhaps training in sanitizing.. No clue, just thankful I went for minute situation and referral purposes...Best part same day appt! good or bad, not sure?! Delay in prescription and finally a nice good morning by said receptionist at 3 pm. Help these folks out!

Although my regular hygenist wasn't there for my routine cleaning, the young lady that did my cleaning at the Valrico location did a good job. (I'm not sure I was given her name) I would like to comment on the esthetics of the waiting area at this location. The chairs are in desperate need of recovering with torn vinyl coverings exposing the cusion underneath. If a new client were to come for the first time at that location they just might not return. It has a very unkept appearance appearing to be an unclean office. Attention should be given to this appearance.

I love Dr Dixon and her staff they are great. I love the service. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I like that you are informed about all your upcoming services and the costs I highly recommend Great Expressions Dental in Valrico.
