Good Samaritan Nursing Home

My mom has been a resident in the Cottage at Good Sam for over 20 months. All of the employees associated with Mom’s care are well trained and diligent in their responsibilities; it comforts us to feel that the staff respects Mom as an aging adult. Our family receives calls during relevant circumstances to immediately inform us of needed changes in care or to advise us of the many special events being planned for the residents. The Memory Care Support Specialist, Jess, makes every effort to provide the residents with exciting special activities periodically throughout the year. These activities allow more family members to join in the festivities with their loved ones. Daily recreational exercises are organized by Nick who personally engages each of the participating residents in an effort

My mom was there till she passed 11/11/12. Place and staff were wonderful. It always smelled like mamma’s house on Sundays. Mmmm Delicious!!! Her name was Mary Eichhorn.

My Mom was here for 6 weeks for Rehab,the staff was amazing I can't say anything bad about any of them, from the nurses, aides, physical therapist to the social workers,they were great. This is the only rehab or hospital that when I saw something wrong with my Mom they were already on top of it doing tests to see what the problem was. In other rehabs and hospitals I have to tell them something is wrong over and over again before they would do anything. I had peace of mind while my Mom was here I knew she was being cared for and they were on tops of everything.

The place is clean, and I love that. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

am writing this review out of serious concern regarding the care and professionalism of the staff at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. My mother was recently transferred to this facility. I will not state the exact date due to fear of retaliation against my mother, and unfortunately, under certain circumstances I am unable to transfer her elsewhere. Not all of us are privileged enough to have that option. Within the last two weeks, I witnessed something that I believe raises serious concerns about the conduct of one of your nurses. I was driving on Lakeland Avenue near Sunrise Highway at approximately 12:31 PM when a blonde nurse with very distinctive features, including large eyes and a very recognizable face, pulled up next to me at a traffic light.
