Gold Coast Dental - Fullerton

My family went in yesterday. The staff was on the move. They were able to treat all three of my kids I was grateful for a great experience. The manager Celine and Carey were very kind offered me water and coffee and gave us a goodie bag before leaving they went into detail about how my insurance works and everything. I’m happy they were able to break it down for me. Dr tien was great as well.

Extremely frustrating experience. I had an appointment for a cleaning and ended up waiting over 2 hours total. I waited more than an hour just sitting, then another 30 minutes for X-rays. After all of that, I was told they couldn’t do my cleaning because the oral hygienist had already left and that I needed to reschedule. Staff : Celine, Tine ,Kerry were very unprofessional. If the hygienist wasn’t available, this should have been communicated earlier instead of making patients wait for hours. Completely defeats the purpose of having an appointment.

Don't ever go to this dentist. They have the worst office staff and accounts receivable. They are a bunch of incompetent office staff employees. They dont know what they are doing and dont believe any quotes that they give you. They will bill you twice that amount a couple of months later. Even though I have great insurance and I already paid them over $800 at the time of service (that's what they said it would cost. I thought that was high given my great insurance) they still managed to send me a bill for $1600. They are very incompetent.

The dentist and oral surgeon and the dental techs are great here but what you need to be concerned about how the place is managed. They are hard to get a hold of even after oral surgery. My daughter had allergic reaction after surgery and literally had to show up there to talk to them . She was seen by the dentist and medicine was changed day after it got worse called many times and left many voicemails no response. We end up taking her to urgent care .

I can’t say enough good things about Gold Coast Dental—this was hands down the best dental experience of my life! Everyone was incredibly kind, professional, and truly made me feel at ease every step of the way. Dr. Somerville was amazing—thorough, gentle, and really took the time to explain everything clearly. Jose, the assistant, was so kind and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. And the receptionist was so warm and welcoming, which made such a difference from the start. It’s rare to find a dental office where everyone treats you with this level of care and respect. I’m so grateful I found Gold Coast Dental. I genuinely feel taken care of here, and I won’t be going anywhere else!
