Giant Pharmacy

I called to check when my prescription would be ready and was told it had already been picked up, which left me extremely confused. This medication requires an ID because it is a controlled substance. Shortly after, I received a call from another patient who had accidentally been given my prescription when picking up medication for their child. I called the pharmacy back to report the error and was simply told “your medication is ready,” with no apology, explanation, or acknowledgement of the seriousness of the situation. This involved a controlled substance and a clear verification failure, as well as a breach of patient privacy under HIPAA. Very disappointing experience and concerning from a safety standpoint.

Getting someone else’s medication is a big Hippa Violation!! Grateful we looked at the medicine before our 9 year old took it!!!

I’ve been coming to this pharmacy for several years - it was amazing for so long, always fast and efficient, but in the last six months something has changed dramatically with the service. I routinely get misinformation about which prescriptions are ready or whether a refill authorization does exist, and it often takes multiple phone calls to sort out the confusion. Most recently, the pharmacy filled a prescription with a different manufacturer than it has been filling for the last three years, with no communication about the switch and no explanation (particularly because the normal medication was in stock).

I went there for the first time today. After walking inside the store I looked around for the pharmacy. While looking around I couldn't help but notice how clean and well stocked all of the shelves were. I had a prescription called in so I went to the pharmacy and picked it up. The pharmacist and the assistant smiled and waited on me immediately and asked if they could help me with anything else. I'll definitely be going back to that Giant.

The people who work at the counter are nice and very helpful, but it’s impossible to get anything filled and they do not communicate in any way. Whether they’re out of your meds or the pharmacist has a question about the scrip they just won’t fill it and wait for you to come in to alert anyone that there’s an issue. Have a prescription for 90 days? Too bad, they’ll only do 30 at a time. Pharmacist doesn’t like the dosage? They’re just not gonna fill it. You may sometimes get texts, but they’re not at all accurate. We’ve only been using this pharmacy for a couple of months and we’re definitely changing
