Giant Pharmacy

Went for a flu shot. Filled out paperwork and wanted to submit my insurance card. Told I didn’t need to submit it if I had prescriptions at this pharmacy I did) Waited for 25 minutes and then was asked for my insurance card. Submitted the card and continued to wait. Person who came after me for a shot was called in. I then approached the pharmacy employees and requested my paperwork back. Without a word of explanation regarding the delay I was given my paperwork back. I asked to speak with the person in charge and I spoke with Melanie explaining I had waited half an hour, received no communication from staff during this wait and that this was very disrespectful. I switched to the Giant Pharmacy in Crofton after horrible experiences with other pharmacies and it has made a huge difference in my life, since I take many medications and interact with the pharmacy quite frequently. The pharmacy itself is extremely efficient, and there is rarely more than a 2 person line. I used to have to wait in line for roughly 15-30 minutes, and now I rarely even wait 5 minutes. The pharmacy is on top of handling issues such as prior authorizations for me, or explaining what I need to do when a situation arises. They go above and beyond to give me the care I need. The pharmacy is easy to contact via phone, and I use the app which allows me to easily ask for refills, and then they text me to inform me when it is available for pickup.
