Georgia Urology

I am extremely frustrated with my recent experience. My medication has expired, and I have been trying to get it refilled for the past two weeks. I have called every single day, spoken with multiple staff members, and left at least four voicemails. Despite all of these attempts, I still have not received my medication, nor have I received a single callback. This level of communication and follow-through is very disappointing, especially when it involves something as important as prescription medication. I hope the office can improve its responsiveness and communication, as patients should not have to chase their own medical care for weeks without any resolution.

I have better than average understanding of what's involved. You could do better. Doctor performing my cystoscopy was in a hurry. Inserted the scope so quickly, in one sudden thrust, missed examining the urethra and bladder neck. Later told me I had no median lobe, but a month later a careful exam by another urologist not affiliated with Georgia Urology showed median lobe protrusion into the bladder which is a major contributor to my symptoms. Second doctor took pictures along the way in and out. I had 3 urinalyses on the same day, and got different results from each. PA prescribed antibiotic that is harmful to elderly. Website doesn't let you access records in meaningful form. Doctor seemed bent on scheduling me for a questionable procedure instead of focusing on why I first came there.

Hum, how did my review dissappear from their site? This is the worst example of a medical practice I've ever experienced in my 70 years. Had surgery scheduled for 12pm. Got a call at 10:30 asking if I could come in at 11pm. What? Why wasn't I called sooner? Got there at 11:30, 6 people in the surgery waiting area. 12:30, no one was called in. Finally a lady that said her surgery was scheduled at 10am went up to the office and was told the laser machine wasn't here yet. What, where was it? Finally at 2:30 the machine arrived. Still no one called back for surgery. 3pm we're all told the laser machine wasn't working properly and we'll all have to reschedule. Really? Not me, no longer trust GU. Also why the heck did they call and ask me to come in early? Just to irritate me more? Already found

Thank you staff and Ms. Dutta for being able to squeeze me in last minute, especially since I had booked under the wrong date. They were sweet and accommodating!

It is absolutely impossible to get through to them on the phone unless you are calling for new patient type of stuff ike making a new appointment. The procedure seems to have gone well but I have spent two days trying to call them because they never sent over the prescription to the pharmacy. I spent over 30 minutes each time on hold after going through the automated system. I still haven't gotten through and may have to drive there to ask them to send over the prescription.
