George Williams College of Aurora University

Beautiful weather and great visit. Thank you Nick, Sean, the students, Dr. Johnson ,Wendy Seerup and we can't forget to mention the staff support as well as the chef and cafeteria staff. Lunch was delicious, we even got a take home dessert!

I was enrolled in the BSW program for my junior year from 2021-2022. I commuted and did not live on campus. I am transferring to a new college. The best part of this college is the professors; they genuinely cared about my wellbeing and success. They are good people with good hearts. Unfortunately, at least half of my professors seemed unprepared to teach (meanwhile the other half were truly amazing with a wealth of information). Despite having career credentials, it didn't always translate to academic expertise. Some professors seemed like they were just reading the books along with me and it was their first time teaching. Overall, the BSW program lacked academic vigor and overly focused on soft-skills. It was easy to get A's without learning much. I'm frankly worried about some of the s

I am on my fourth year at George Williams College, and I love the campus, the faculty, and the opportunities I have been presented at this school. I am in the Outdoor Recreation program and could not be happier, Geneva Lake has been an excellent resource for my learning. I am apart of the first freshman class to graduate this May (2016) from GWC and I am sad to leave this beautiful place, but I am excited to head to basic training for the Illinois Army National Guard. Lastly my experience at this school as been unique, there have been a lot of changes at GWC but it is a growing school and sometimes you have to roll with the punches.

Veteran and student. This is a school that strides to make you the best student that you are willing to be. I like that I am able to have conversations with my professors and that I am not regurgitating information. In several of my classes we have done hands on learning utilizing Lake Geneva and other preserves in Walworth county. I thought I was going to have issues using my G.I. Bill but I did not. I have good grades from my community college and received scholarships to compensate for what the G.I. was unable to cover. The biggest draw back is the sad of gym we have on campus but since I am an adult I have figured out ways to overcome this issue. Altogether this is a great school for me because I know the education I am receiving is another step to where I want to go in life.

The school is deceitful and does not take the extra steps to help the students. George Williams College is an after thought of Aurora University. The course work and education was not worth the cost or time even if you receive scholarships for the school. Students physical health was not a concern to the president. If we wanted to use the services Aurora University provided we needed to travel there on our own. There was no on campus nurse or gym. The administrative staff could get away with anything that they want to without consequences. I am sad to be a George Williams College Alumni. I do not take pride in my school. I wish I could give George Williams College below 1 Star. If you are looking for a school to go to, to prepare you for the work force, that cares about you, and is honest
