Best VA Hospital & I've used about 10 or more, so I believe I am qualified to offer my opinion. All VA facilities could learn from Utah VA. They set a five star standard. Some or even most VA facilities I've used were ROTTEN to the core. The treatment was medival. So I am not a fan of the VA. I wish I never had to be forced to use their system but could freely use our local community every single time. Salt Lake City, Utah VA is the EXCEPTION.

When they finally schedule you, you might get some one who wants to actually take care of your issue. Or you can get multiple doctors and every single one of them wants to start from the begining and never do anything. Or you get the "I have seen worse" speech. I have an injury that I have orders from a neurosurgeon to get my back taken care of. I have been waiting over 3 weeks just to schedule. Garbage managing system!

So lucky to have this hospital so close to us, always receive great care, for how under funded they are, truly caring people.

Having to wait 6+ months to recieve mental health help is insane. I dont feel like I’m taken serious the times I’ve called in seeking guidance or mental health help. I still have recieved no assistance and and still mentally struggling. Such an unfortunate and broken system.

Thankful to have veterans healthcare so I can treat my mental health issues derived from my deployment to Afghanistan. It ain’t perfect, but you can’t beat the price! It’s not as bad as people make it seem. Though it can be complicated and confusing. Once you know how to work the system it ain’t so bad.
