Gentle Pines Adult Family Home

My mother just turned 95 years old and has spent the last 8 years in assisted living facilities; three to be exact. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best, I give Gentle Pines a 10. The ownership works tirelessly to accommodate the needs of the residents and their families. The staff that tends to my mother’s daily needs is far better than the last two. The RCC, Leala, is hands down the best. Leala and her staff have made the place a warm and inviting family environment. The home is immaculate inside and out. The meals are healthy, homemade, and look delicious. The best compliment I can give Gentle Pines is that when its my turn to live in an AFH this is where I want to go.

Gentle Pines is an excellent facility. The care and compassion they provide for your loved one is beyond compare. After moving from a different local facility, our loved one immediately improved, became more engaged and is thriving in the new environment. The food that is prepared is fantastic quality and they make sure everyone has something they like. What sets this facility apart though is the ownership and staff. They treat all residents with respect and show all of them love. All of the staff has excellent knowledge of all the little things that the residents need. If you need a place to move a loved one for the best care and peace of mind for the family, this is the place.

As a geriatric pharmacist, I work closely with many long-term care homes, and I can honestly say this one stands out in the best way possible. From a pharmacy standpoint, they’re the most organized, prepared, and on top of their medication systems. Every time I’ve done a medication review or mock inspection here, their medication room, charts, MARs, and documentation have been clear, current, compliant, and the staff shows a strong understanding of the medications they’re administering, conditions they’re treating, and how to keep residents safe and cared for.
