If you have a cheap dental HMO, I doubt that you can find a better dental office in Bakersfield They get: 5* for office staff, 4* for dentistry, and 3* for environment The office staff is friendly and professional (5*). They accidentally overcharged me for a procedure that was covered by insurance. It was an honest mistake, and they gave me a refund after some bureaucratic delay. For dentistry: I got a painless root canal (top notch) and a nice crown. On the other hand, I got an extraction that hurt WHILE he was doing it. He did not stop to numb it more (-1*). The location is good, with plenty of free parking near the entrance. The waiting room has standard chairs, a TV (-1*), and a water cooler that always sits empty in the corner (a conversation piece?).

I’m always nervous going to a new dentist, especially when in pain. I was greeted promptly and with a smile. My wait to go to a waiting chair was short. The X-rays were done professionally by Frisco. He was very polite and thorough. The Dentist explained to me what steps I needed to complete to get work done. I was advised on what I needed to add to my daily routine to prevent any further problems with my teeth. The visit rates a 5 star review in my book. I highly recommend them.

This dental office has the best staff of any medical office I have ever been to. Everyone is friendly and very relaxed while still being completely professional. The staff at the front desk are especially great, the doctor is a really cool guy and the specialist I saw was super friendly, professional and I always felt like I was in good hands. 3 Big Stars!

We had to switch dentists several times over the past few years due to bad experiences, and coming to Gentle Dental, my kids were a little nervous about trying yet another new dental office.We had such a great experience at Gentle Dental. My kids absolutely loved it. The dentist was kind and took the time to discuss my kids' teeth with me after their exam. The hygienists who cleaned their teeth were very friendly and made my kids feel at home there. I am hopeful that we can remain patients here for a long time to come. My first visit at Gentle Dental earlier this year went well. The dentist did an examination and the hygienist cleaned my teeth, as expected at a dental visit. On my second visit about 6 months later, the dentist did an exam but I did not receive a cleaning. I was told by the receptionist at check out that I would’ve had to specify that I wanted the exam and cleaning on the same day. I was never warned that I would have to specifically ask for a cleaning when scheduling my second appointment. How was I to know this? Every other dentist I’ve seen has performed the exam and cleaning at the same visit. I proceeded to schedule a cleaning for a couple weeks later.
