Gentle Dental NorthGate

I was happy with Gentle Dental until I changed insurance. I called several times, and even spoke to a representative regarding whether new plan would cover upcoming appointment. Although he said i would hear from them the following dayI NEVER received a callback. I called a couple more times and left messages but no return call. I guess that's how much they care. I will be finding a new dentist.

My appointment was at 9:30, since December 1st I got many reminders, texts and emails that said 9:30am. (My appt was March 5th) I got there at 9:25, checked in for my 9:30 appt. At 10am I still hadn’t been called back, I asked the front desk “hi, was my appt at 9:30?” They said “oh we’re sorry, we moved your appt this morning to 10am because the doctor is very booked.” I said “I wish someone would have called and let me know?” She said “yeah sorry, we’re really busy. They will get you back soon.” I didn’t get called back till 10:27 and the doctor saw me for 3 mins (it was a consult). Why don’t you do these consults over the phone and not waste everyone’s time? There’s a lot of dentist offices who will do over the phone consults, in fact my sister just got one done over the phone in grants

First visit was fine. Got in amd seen quickly. I got a referal to a specialist for my situation and needs. A few weeks later I went in at 7:30 am as a walk in for severe tooth pain and was there for 2.5 hours waiting for the dentist to see me for 5 minutes to tell me they cant do anything until I see the specialist, but gave me a prescription for antibiotics. People were friendly enough but nobody talked to me other than checking me in and taking me back for the x-ray. I was left to wait and in pain without so much as a friendly remark that the dentist was busy or asking me how I was doing. Maybe Im still bitter from the pain Im having but I was disappointed in my last experience. I felt ignored and disregarded as a patient. Hope my next visit is better.

One star because I have to choose something. This place has been a royal waste of my time. The staff is friendly sure but they are uncoordinated and disorganized to the point that even when seeing multiple providers in office there is no cross communication and you will fall through the cracks. I went there at least 15 times and most appointments were a complete waste of time where services were not rendered or needed to be repeated as in the case of a full mouth scan. 4 different appointment's to get the scan done 3 times and once for impressions. The labs they use for dentures and partials are incompetent and produce garbage at such a high cost. I have been waiting to get a refund for a partial I paid for back in November and never received. That was the first time I had been there and I have to say Dr teal and his staff or extremely friendly explain things very well and I believe was very honest about what to expect from my granddaughter's teeth and did not push as other orthodontics I've been due kept pushing and pushing for her to get them immediately. She is only 10 years old and we were told we could wait another year so we have seen four total and him and one other orthodontist are the ones we will decide if she needs them and when she needs them it'll be one of the two Thank you so much.
