Gentle Dental Lakewood

I’ve had a great experience at Gentle Dental in Lakewood. The office has a relaxed, welcoming vibe, and the care has always been excellent. As someone who gets a little nervous about dental visits, that environment matters. The dentist has been great, but I especially want to recognize Senya, one of the dental assistants. She truly lives up to the name “Gentle Dental.” She goes out of her way to make sure I’m comfortable, checks in throughout the visit, and keeps things light and positive. She’s skilled, patient, and genuinely cares about the patient experience. I always leave feeling taken care of and thankful for her help. People like Senya don’t always get recognized, but they should. Highly recommend this office!

Barbara and Dr. D make the best team. Barbara is as cool as the other side of the pillow and if I could I would just come in and hang out with them! Little by little they are helping bring my confidence back. I literally could not stop smiling when I left the office yesterday and I took an obscene amount of selfies😁

Scheduled a cleaning for 9:30am and because they were already behind and didn’t have enough time I only received an exam which took an hour and 40 minutes. I feel like I wasted my time and now I have to come back for a cleaning. They assumed I was a new patient although I have been a patient since 2009. The dental assistant and dentist were nice though.

My last appointment with them was when I was told I had several cavities in my molars due to, specifically they told me "food sitting in your teeth and rotting" multiple times even though I brush and floss twice a day and had no discomfort. Was quoted literally for like six fillings. Went to a private practice two years later and surprise, they couldn't find any of those cavities or any other problems with my teeth. Super disappointing for an office to (at best) mishandle an examination so badly that they try to sell you unnecessary and expensive treatments or (at worst) to be lied to and shamed about your teeth in order to get more money out of you. Two stars because my teeth cleanings were at least useful.

Service was very professional and everyone there was very nice. The name gentle dental really is true as they prioritize your comfort.
