This post started as one star review and could have focused on the negative things that go on in a healthcare setting. Yes we had a very long wait tonight to be able to get in to get treatment for my wife who had the flu and was very dehydrated. Our wait was well over 4 hours in a very crowded and a very busy emergency room waiting. Area. My first inclination was to use Google as a way to vent my frustration at how much it inconvenienced us to have to sit there for hours waiting to be called back to treatment. Then I realized something, healthcare is not about structure It's not about promising certain wait times or wait times like a ride at an amusement park. Healthcare is a people business and it's the people that work in healthcare that make the difference in the lives of those people
I recently delivered my baby boy at CMC, and I can honestly say the labor and delivery and postpartum nurses were absolutely incredible. Every nurse I interacted with was kind, patient, and so attentive. They made me feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for every step of the way. They explained everything clearly, encouraged me when I needed it most, and went above and beyond to make sure both my baby and I were well taken care of. Their compassion and professionalism made such a difference during one of the most special (and emotional) times of my life. I’m so thankful for each and every nurse who helped bring my baby into the world — you all are amazing and truly make this hospital stand out!
I dont give a 0 star because it doesent allowe me. I've been bringing my husband to this hospital for about eight months now, and every time we come, the treatment is awful. The only reason I keep bringing him here is because he's had multiple surgeries, his abdomen is still open, and even if I take him to another hospital, they end up transferring him back here. Today I took him to the emergency room, and they treated him terribly. He was standing for over an hour (he can't sit down due to his open wound) they told him that if he didn't sit down, he should wait outside. He also asked for help cleaning his abdomen, and they sent him to the bathroom, but he didn't go because he could get an infection or catch a bacteria. The person attending him told him to clean it at home because he was
I came in with bloodwork and a diagnosis from another hospital stating I needed to be admitted and they ignored it. They put my life at risk and kept me in an emergency room with no food, water or bath room access until I asked for a bedside camode. For 24 hours they left me without basic sanitary necessities. There was no toilet paper, no wipes, no sink access because I could not reach with the monitors and IV. If I rang for a nurse it was 30-45 minutes before they came. I was using a garment bag as a toilet and putting it in the biohazard garbage per their instructions. This is one of the worst hospitals I have even seen. They are running unnecessary testing, they do not listen to patients, and everyone acts like they hate their job. It is an absolutely miserable place that needs to be
I was admitted for an epilepsy flare up over the summer and the staff were horrible. First off, they stripped me fully naked and tied me up, refusing to give me a gown or scrubs, or even a sheet or blanket, and left me like that for over 24 hours. I told them I was a sexual assault survivor and I was waking up from my seizures thinking I was being raped but they just kept insulting me when I was panicking. Eventually they moved me out of the ER and let me put on a gown, but a nurse was extremely rude to me and took my phone and belongings as "punishment " for trying to get coverage at my job and checking on my kids. I was in extreme distress and the staff just made fun of me or treated me like I was choosing to make their job difficult by having epilepsy. The entire experience was trau
