Geisinger Careworks Urgent Care

Just visited for an infected eye. By far the best urgent care experience I have ever had. Nice facility, check-in was smooth, nurse and PA were very professional.

My child was scene for head cold sore throat and ear ache pain and was off of work today. they stated she had viral infection and she could go to work so they would not give work excuse and no medicine to let it run its course. My son was scene the previous week at care works for same was given prednisone then 4 days later went back with double ear infection just the day before. Receptionist was rude and couldn’t give any names or phone numbers of person in charge to make complaint. Never heard of going to doctors and they wouldn’t give a work excuse for that day. 😢😢 very rude and unprofessional

Never again. Slow and poor service ,I made appointment and they said I didn't. They wouldn't even look at my email confirmation.

Wednesday march 1st I went because of excruciating eye pain. I waited 2 hours which was no problem. When I finally was taken back to the exam room I heard the doctor yelling and cursing at the other staff. When she came in to examine me, she just really brushed it off and told me I needed an eye exam. Fast forward to yesterday I went to the eye doctor because the pain was even worse. Here the pressure in my eye was built up and I had a lot of inflammation in it. I told him I went to urgent care and he was not very happy that they didn’t give me any eye drops. He prescribed me an eye drop which I started yesterday and now my eye pain is just about gone.

Very long wait time, I was in lobby for 45 minutes and patient room for an hour and 15 minutes. I'm not sure if the talking in the hallway made them forget they had a patients in the room waiting or what but they need to do less talking and focus more on the patients so they can be seen in a timely manner. ***However staff were very nice***
