Gastroenterology Associates of Tidewater - Chesapeake

We have always had a great experience at the location. The front desk staff is exceptional and actually everyone we came in contact with from the front desk dealing with Kim Smith and Mrs Flo and MC is awesome and the young lady that does the bloodwork. From the time you walk in the door and approach the front desk they are professional and has a very upbeat spirit which will make you feel better about having to be there. All I can say is that front desk staff need to train others because they are the first one you see and it makes a difference

I have been to this practice a few times over many years and it’s always a good experience, no matter what the reason to be there might be. Dr Rivera and Alexis are very knowledgeable professional and kind, they will discuss problems and treatments. The staff is courteous, friendly and helpful.

I have been calling the Chesapeake office repeatedly, and daily. The queue for calls waiting/algorhythm is completely out of order. 10 minutes; then 7 minutes; then 12 minutes. Every call is a new adventure. Someone from the practice needs to call their own number and experience what is not working. When the voice mail says ‘call volume is high, please leave a message” the number rings 20+ times w/no answer. The one return call I received directed me right back to the mail box that is totally inadequate. I have a referral here, and need to be seen for something distressing, but I am going to move on.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Greeted right away and was seen within 5 minutes of arriving (even though I was late). Dr. Domanski explained in a manner that was understandable and relevant for me. I believe I am in good hands with this practice.

I recently had a colonoscopy procedure at this gastroenterology office, and overall, it was a positive experience. The office staff were friendly and helpful throughout the entire process, from scheduling the appointment to the follow-up. There was ample parking available, and the waiting room had plenty of comfortable seating. My only minor issue was that I was taken back for my appointment about 20 minutes later than scheduled. However, the friendly demeanor of the staff and the efficiency of the procedure itself made up for the slight delay. I felt well cared for and would recommend this office for anyone needing gastroenterology services.
