We were new to the area and appreciate the time the doctor took to see my son. However, we were a disappointed by the long wait time and the approach during the exam. In our previous experience in DC, pediatricians would engage directly with the child, creating contact—explaining what they were about to do and asking for permission before examining them. We value this greatly, as it teaches children about consent and helps them better understand their own health from a young age.

Gary Kramer performs all his examinations including vaginal exams on babies without gloves. This is not standard medical procedure with PPE and is just plain disgusting. He had long ungroomed nails which is also an hazard, especially when you don’t wear gloves. Anonymous name since I still need them to transfer medical documents for my daughter, but I will not be returning to this practice.

This man has zero personality, has no bedside manners and is extremely rude for someone whose entire career depends on children who need a warm welcoming and kind face in an environment that tends to be terrifying for kids. And on top of that everything they say about him taking FOREVER to even attend to you is 100% true. We first have an appointment with Kramer on the phone for our daughter before she was born to get to know him and he says he’ll come to the hospital to meet her… he came. It was fine, but then he asks us not to bring our son to the appointment so that we can have a “calm” first appointment… which I thought was a little weird for a pediatrician but I let it go. Given the number of complaints around lack of punctuality, it’s clear Dr Kramer does not care about his patients time. My kid’s appointment was at 8:30. I arrived to a full office, all patients waiting, to witness him walking in at 9:10. Assuming (or hoping) the 1st patient was scheduled for 8:30, he starts his day with a 40 minute delay. For me, today was a “only” 1 hour and 15 minutes delay. Extremely disrespectful. The nurses are wonderful. Wish I could stay with them.

We’ve been with Kramer for 5 years (2 kids). The constant waiting to see Kramer is too much. Even with an appointment 45-60+ minute waits are normal. Today was 2 hours and nobody even came in to check on us so we left. He’s a knowledgeable doctor but far too overworked and spread too thin to be effective. He’s missed diagnoses on my older child that we were able to catch ourselves thankfully. Enough is enough. Find another pediatrician.
