Garden State Dental of Newark

The service was good and I enjoyed chatting with the people, but I was assured that for my basic clean that all I would need to pay was my copay. I didn’t get anything extra so you can imagine my surprise when I then got a $150 bill for it. I called and emailed asking for clarification on what these additional charges were, because they had assured me they accepted my insurance. They never picked up my call/returned my voicemail or emailed me back, and that happened over 2 months ago. Would not recommend despite the good dental care because of the hoops you have to go through with insurance with them and their lack of response.

I’m was really nervous & upset but I tell you this much. The staff made me feel so welcome especially for my first time there. The dentist guided me through everything he was doing. Very, very ,very happy with their service will be returning again

Garden State Dental did a great job on my deep cleaning. The staff was comforting and friendly. I'd recommend them for anyone looking for a good dentist's option in Ironbound.

My 6-year-old twins had a great experience there. Dr Mark and his assistant were outstanding. One of my kids needed anesthesia, and they were so respectful and patient, I couldn’t believe it. Thank you!!!

The facility looked super unkempt and dirty quite honestly. All of the equipment and furniture is old and worn down which does not create a welcoming environment for patients. How can patients be assured that tools are properly sterilized if the office itself looks disgusting? I also had a bad experience getting X-rays done which has never happened before. It was super uncomfortable. Lastly, I’ve never been to a dentist that schedules X-rays/exams and cleanings on separate days. Absolutely ridiculous to have to wait more than three months for a cleaning. Super dissatisfied and will not be recommending. Should be reported to the board of health
