Garden Place HealthCare

Did not hold bed/room for patient who was sent out to hospital. Once discharged from hospital a day later, expected to return to room but suddenly no bed available! Medicaid requires them to place a bed hold for 14 days. They did not! This individual had no placed to go, as Garden Place did not follow the MA/Fed. laws! Shameful action, causing extreme harm, placing patient in a dire need. Abandonment! Individual needed nursing services, but administration decided not to hold bed for this patient. English is not their first language, which causes communication difficulties for the patient and family, too. The accents are so strong, creating a harmful environment. This facility building is a bit outdated but the staff is what makes it an outstanding place to go for rehab. Every single employee couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant or supportive. They truly care about the patients.

The food/dining program is better than most of the other facility around the area! They go above and beyond to ensure that each patient is getting the care that they need.

I spent a month here in rehab after a seizure that nearly took my life. Upon waking up to realize where I was I was initially horrified but the caring reassuring staff calmed me and attended to my every need. There are so many staff there that are such wonderful people they are a ray of sunlight in a darkened place! I'm not talking about just doctors & nurses, I mean every corner from the cafeteria workers to the lovely woman that washed my clothes...& Ming! He is one of my favorites! If I had to go into rehab again I would certainly choose Garden Place!

I was visiting a family member and the nurse Megan was so kind and helpful! She made me feel very reassured that my loved one was being taken care of. Very happy with their progress so far!
