FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers - Falmouth

I’m writing on behalf of my husband Jonathan, who was a patient at Pearce, MD, and Fyzical physical therapy. Initially, he saw Dr. Pearce for labyrinthitis. He had been to another practice that could not help him. Dr. Pearce was able to help him immediately and referred him to PT with Erin at Fyzical to work through his severe vertigo. They both helped him tremendously with all his issues. Highly recommend!

I was experiencing severe vertigo when I first came to see Dr. Carroll in December 2024. She completed a very thorough exam to determine the extent and condition of my vertigo. Within 3 visits the debilitating symptoms were significantly diminished and now after 8 weeks, I feel almost completely back to normal. I still have to do home PT exercises to train my brain for balance but as I stated this is all do to the excellent care provided by Dr Carroll and her staff.

I’ve had plenty of experience with PT over the years and find that the team at Fyzical Therapy and Balance stands out! Direct attention to the client, great at explaining the what, why and how. I really feel like my knee surgery recovery is moving ahead faster than expected because of their attention and expertise.

Dr. Carroll helped me tremendously through both vestibular therapy and therapy for my knee. She is very thorough and skilled in her exams and in preparing for and guiding her patients through each session. She is also thoughtful about the in-home exercises she recommends. Beyond that, Dr. Caroll is patient, personable, kind, and funny, making each session pleasureable, even when the exercises are challenging (in a good way!). Due to the great work I did at Fyzical and the resulting improvements in my balance and knee function I plan to do a lot of Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and hiking in the next several weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Carroll and the other members of the Fyzical team, PTA Dori Thompson and Client Care Specialist Cat Moreno. Thank you all for the work you do!

I started attending appointments at Fyzical Physical Therapy Falmouth (Portland location) after the word “BALANCE” which was prominently displayed on their window signage drew me in to inquire about their program. I was particularly concerned about the coming winter and my safety. I have never had good balance and with weakness and instability from lumbar stenosis affecting my glutes, quads, thighs and lower I was hoping that they might be able to help somehow. I had even done some extensive PT a year or two earlier but did not have cumulative positive results.
