We came to Lisa in the summer of 2018 to help our family with our newly diagnosed ASD daughter who was 11 at the time... Lisa’s lessons and exercises have made our home more peaceful, helped our daughter manage and identify her emotions, learn bike safety skills, learn confidence in the water and increase her social skills. Lisa works not only with the child but the whole family so as parents we were taught skills to parent differently to make our communication with her stronger and each other. We feel confident as we graduate from OT that we have gained the skills we need to be successful in this season of life.

This is my husband, Thomas Flaherty's, review: Lisa Shooman gave me several weeks of thorough, concerned, caring therapy for my right middle finger following ruptured tendon surgery due to a softball injury. She is extremely knowledgeable/well schooled in finger type splint devices. She fashioned a 6" long wire & Velcro splint for me to wear while sleeping at night to work on straightening my finger She also formed a small cloth/Velcro 'cap' for the tip of my finger to work on trying to get the fingertip to bend. Hand therapy in her office consisted of dipping my finger in hot paraffin wax (to cause it to bend into palm easier & for less pain) and massaging 'ultra sound' gel into my finger with a 'heating device' to get the finger to be more 'pliable.' I had a hand fracture. Lisa helped with exercises that brought me back to full use. She is an excellent OT. I would highly recommend her.
