Fulton Commons Care Center

This place has “NO CONTINUITY OF CARE”!!! Continuity of care is essential for anyone with Alzheimer’s or any kind of dementia. There are many excellent but underpaid and overworked aids here. We were fortunate to have good aids on 4 East in the morning and an entire group of aids in the evening who work and act like a family and treat the patients as one too. However, The Grand (owners) felt it necessary to remove the entire morning floor and replace with all new. We got the worst aid in the building and my wife’s health has plummeted even after I’ve asked many times to remove that aid and they didn’t. Now the Grand, who own many nursing homes in NY are doing the same with the entire evening shift and nurses! It makes no sense and no one is happy with the change, but they don’t care. While

My grandmother is at Fulton Commons Care Center and we couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. The staff is kind, patient, and attentive, and the facility is always clean and welcoming. They offer activities that keep her engaged and comfortable, and it gives our family real peace of mind knowing she’s in good hands.

Truly such a depressing experience in here. Some of the staff is great, such as the physical therapists, but a lot of the staff—specifically the nurses— are so needlessly cruel to a lot of the patients. My grandmother was here for about 5 weeks. In that time where I visited her, I heard nurses yelling, berating, and even making fun of patients. My grandmother has even told me about how one nurse in particular yelled at her for trying to go back to her room. My grandmother is 70 years old, with severe osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. She needs a lot of help. She ended up wetting herself a few times because her calls for help were often ignored. She is not incontinent. She only wet herself because of the lack of help. Please don't take your parents there. They ignore you. They don't take care of you. They don't return phone calls and the place has nothing on the walls. My mother couldn't wait to get out of there. The girls that take care of my mother at home went to see my mother everyday and they said nobody was ever around

My Dad was a resident at Fulton Commons Care Center for 10 months before his passing this week. I’m writing this review to commend all of the staff for the wonderful care he received. Adam, the physician assistant is an outstanding healthcare provider. His constant communication with me was exemplary. His interaction with my Dad was frequent and sincere. Kiawna, Cynthia, and Stefania are exceptional professionals. Each and every aide on 1 East provide expert care and attention to every resident. The therapy departments are all very accessible and friendly. As a frequent visitor and registered nurse, I observed a caring and well trained staff of professionals. The facility is extremely clean and every department is welcoming. I highly recommend Fulton Commons and I thank each of the hard w
