Frontier Rehabilitation and Extended Care

Never EVER! Let your loved ones stay at the Frontier Rehabilitation center. They are lazy, rude, and don't help with anything my dad needs. Veteran or not my father has stage 4 blood cancer and they are treating him with little to no respect. He told me there is a small group of night nurses who are nice, the whole rest of the staff are rude and ignore him when he needs help! He has fallen 3 times (the facility hide that from us! dad told us about his falls) and he has an infection on his bottom from them not rotating him properly! His doctor said he needs to go to the hospital and they ignore his doctors order. My mom and I have contacted the VA hospital in Portland to ring the alarm bells on this horrible place. I spent 48 hours in this hellhole and I feel terrible for anyone stuck there. In my experience, pain medication was never on time or was missing. Staff waited 30+ minutes before answering my and/or my roommates call button (even though you could see and hear them gossiping at the reception desk). During my time at Frontier, it appeared that staff members were under trained, reeked of vape and were unnecessarily cruel. I saw first hand a patient with Alzheimer's wheeled out of their room and placed into a corner, staring at the wall for hours. I thought the food was inedible which doesn't surprise me as I witnessed dead roaches in every single light fixture when I was transported in on a stretcher. This establishment is far from suitable for placing your loved ones. The management seems indifferent to the mistreatment of clients, and the employees lack the necessary knowledge and skills to provide proper service. It simply is a matter of taking money for services that will not be provided and knowing that there is nowhere else in this area that is not a sistered establishment that has a vacancy available. They will fill the bed and nothing else will be done to correct this ongoing disregard for the safety and care of the patients.

I am in Frontier Rehab because I have a bad knee. The entire staff is super. The food is so good a great variety. I can't walk right now but I am receiving great care. 7/3/2025 The staff does their best but this place is under staffed. I have had to wait up to three hours to get pain medications. It is BAD!

My mother was admitted here after two weeks in the hospital with various issues (COPD flare up, a broken arm from a fall, pneumonia all at the same time) - as I and other family live quite far to provide care. We thought this would be a much better alternative to the hospital, unfortunately that isn’t the case. My mom has been texting me how awful the care has been, she’s already been neglected, not being given pain medications (she has broken bones, seriously?) and she sits in agony yelling for help. Totally ignored. This was so heartbreaking to hear, I had hoped this place would have helped my mother heal. I wouldn’t recommend putting your loved one here.
