Friendship Village of South Hills

Grateful that Friendship Village had a readily available bed/private for me early January. I suffered a complex ankle fracture and have been here just shy of a month. I have had wonderful encounters with every member of nursing, physical/OT therapy, admissions and social work. Nursing aids worked tirelessly and offered generous assistance. The team has worked cooperatively to assist my healing, provide skilled nursing and help me to get a leg up, literally. The front desk staff offered wonderful support on a daily basis, always with a smile. Activities team was always warm and inviting! I have friends who reside in independent living and it was a great luxury to have them visit so easily. The in-house hair salon made it so easy to maintain a feminine look! A family member is currently a resident in the Health Center (skilled nursing), after needing more care following 7 years as a resident in their independent living community. We are continuously impressed by the caring staff, management, and high-quality facilities. Nothing is perfect in life of course, but we feel blessed to have mom in such a good place. THANK YOU to all the front line staff that work incredibly hard every day (often times in challenging circumstances) to care for our loved ones!

My mom has been in the Health Center off and on for about 5 months and she would stay there forever if possible! The care team is so great to her, they feel like family and everyone from administration to all other staff has made sure she is well taken care of.

We recently moved from our home to Friendship Village. Moving is never easy, but we knew that it was the right time for us. We chose to make a decision on our terms so that we would receive additional supports when we need it. We hope to make that transition easier for us and for our children. Every apartment has a balcony and the grounds are beautiful. There is something fun to do any day, if you want to. The food is delicious and that staff are very caring. Moving to Friendship Village was the best match for us now and for the future.

I visited my 90 yr old aunt yesterday, she is in your facility for rehab purposes and is doing well. The person I would like to commend is Rosyln, the woman who changed out the would bandages on my aunt. She is wonderful, very conscientious about her job and so caring. She is a keeper. My aunt wants only Roslyn to do any wound adjustments, thank you Roslyn.
