Franklin Heights Nursing and Rehab Center

From the moment we entered the facility I had an eerie feeling. Not very welcoming by staff. It was night time, but that should never interfere with good customer service and kindness. My dad's bed sore got worse and worse. Caregiver that changed him had a bad attitude. Didn't smile. We even heard her raise her voice at the gentleman next to our dad. In a demeaning way. It was a weekend and we immediately wanted to take him out. Because there wasn't a social worker they would not. It was critical to get him out. We didn't want him to pass away there. Not all employees, but most seemed to have a I don't care attitude. We finally got hospice involved to help the process. Both my mother and father have lived here at Franklin Nursing and rehab. My mother was there her last 8 years of her life and she was very well taken care of. The nurses and staff were wonderful with her. Now my father has been there over a year and he has also been cared for in a very professional and caring manner. From the front desk ladies who are true Angels; Rachel and Crystal with all the residents to the wonderful events planner Minerva and Javier to the nurses and techs. Everyone talks with my dad and makes him feel at home everyday. I couldnt ask for a better home for my dad. I'm so grateful to all the staff. 😍

My wife's mother is a resident there and we go visit her once a month . We live in ruidoso nm which is a long drive and my wife calls the nurses and staff daily to check on how her day went. The nurses and the staff are super courteous and keep us informed of anything new that she might need. They take great care of all the residents needs. When we visit they have activitys going on and help the residents eat if they need help. This is probably one of the worst if not the worst nursing homes I have ever had to deal with for my father. First of all if you can't tell most of the positive reviews are faked by employees, and ghost accounts. Their are some good employees, that end up leaving a month or two after employment due to the low staffing at the facility and horrible treatment that they want no part of. Mentaly unstable patients are roaming halls that should be confined to rooms/different secured wing, patient call lights are lucky to be answered after 2 or 3 hours. This facility has lost its veteran affairs contract for serious reasons. In the time my father was here, he was ignored multiple times to where we had to call or take time to go in ourselves.
