I recently made a very special purchase at Footworks of two pairs of Alden loafers. After doing a ton of research, I decided that Alden were going to be "it" for me, as I was looking for the highest quality loafers that would last a lifetime. And they're made in Massachusetts since the 1800's? You're telling me they literally invented tassel loafers? I was sold. There are only a few places that locally sell Aldens, as they are a very special shoe. And that's how I found Footworks. I'm on my feet a lot at work, and in formal environments. I can't say enough about his knowledge of feet problems people experience an the time an effort he puts in to make sure you're in the right footwear or inserts for your shoes!!!! When I asked St. Pierre’s Shoe Store in Taunton where to find a real cobbler, they sent me here—and I’m so glad they did. From the moment I walked in, the two gentlemen behind the counter were professional, welcoming, and eager to help. Because I had a long drive and couldn’t return for a week, they offered to fix my shoes on the spot. For just $19, they repaired the damage shoe, reinforced both shoes to help prevent a reoccurrence, and gave them a beautiful polish. I went to the store looking for better shoes that support my arthritis conditions and I found it there on that store. Customer service was A-plus. The owner Gary was very knowledgeable about what exactly I needed. He help me find the best shoes for my condition. I recommend the store 100%.

These guys are so helpful! They repaired ice skates for me and helped me replace the laces in a very stubborn pair of boat shoes. I don’t know what I would do without them.
