Florida Eye Institute

I was so impressed with this office. Making an appointment was an easy pleasant experience I had a question, left a message they responded right away. Front desk greeted me and was great. Medical staff all introduced themselves, explained procedure they would be doing. Dr Baudo was very personable when he greeted me. My eye exam went well He explained everything to me and answered my questions. I'm so pleased I chose this office.

I was scheduled for surgery on January 21, 2026 and on January 16, 2026 I received a call from them letting me know at the last minute that I needed to pay them $1,500.00 before my scheduled surgery. Then they informed me that I supposedly have identical stigmas in both my eye that according to them I was born with. So with that said, if I did not agree to them implanting a lens into both my eye then they would not do my surgery. So I had no chance to refuse the implants. No implants, then no surgery. They had the nerve to contact me 4 days before my surgery to inform me of the of the fact I needed to pay $1,500.00 dollars first or no surgery. Highly recommend Florida Eye Institute! I had a foreign object emergency, I had gotten a piece of metal in my eye! With the extreme short notice F-E-I was able to squeeze me in. I never caught his name but doc took care of me. If I ever have an eye emergency Florida Eye Institute will be my first call! Thanks a bunch everyone from behind the counter to in the exam rooms.

Dr Baudo's team has really made some upgrades to the speed of their exam process. This new format got me in and out of their office in under an hour and I was very impressed with how friendly their staff has been over the years I have had them as my eye care team. I certainly give them my two thumbs up with the five stars!

Last week I went to Florida Eye Institute in Sebastian Florida. After seeing the opthalmogist when I asked for itemized billing statement, I was asked to come the following week to pick it up. This morning I drove 55 miles just to pick up my itemized bill because the clinic refused to send me soft copy as an email attachment. Before handing me over the bill, the young lady at the reception desk wanted me to tell my DOB in a very loud voice. There were around 20 patients around the desk. May be the lady is not aware of identity theft and urgently needs training.
