Soon after receiving my PD diagnosis, I enrolled in the Parkinson Cognitive Fitness Program. It was the best decision as I learned so much about managing the symptoms and I feel fortunate to have an early chance to slow the progression. The FTH gym training sessions and Battle Ground classes are designed specifically for PD clients. The trainers are great at working with PD clients of all stages, motivating each to full potential but also making sure you monitor your heart rate and keep you safe. FTH is a supportive and welcoming community of trainers, PD clients and their care partners.

The Fitness Therapy Hawaii trainers are equipped to provide specific exercises for people with Parkinson’s disease through the Parkinson’s Wellness & Recovery (PWR) Program. Exercise is the best medicine for people with Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s disease is not a death sentence. I’ve been living with Parkinson’s disease for 9 years and still living independently and driving.
