Fit Club Astoria Physical Therapy

I’ve been coming to fit club for several months for a hip impingement that was really impacting my running and weight training. After a couple months of scaling back activity and other PT places giving only the simplest of exercises that did nothing to help, Dr. Manny was amazing! He does a great job explaining the anatomy involved in each exercise and why he’s giving it to help with whatever you’ve been dealing with. He had me doing much more difficult exercises that actually helped build strength back right away and even after a few sessions my hip was way better! I’m now back to running and in the gym and much happier!

I’m a competitive powerlifter and came to see Manny because I had persistent pain in my left shoulder whenever I benched or squatted. A fellow lifter recommended him and it ended up being the best decision I could have made. I was getting nervous that I’d be heading into my meet with this issue, but on the very first day Manny was able to get me pain free after doing hands on work that immediately relieved the pressure I was feeling. What I appreciated most was how clearly he understands powerlifting. He explained everything in a simple way, broke down the anatomy behind my problem, and the exercises he gave me were specific to my movement patterns and not generic. I have been coming to this gym for at least a couple of years. It is a great place to meet workout needs and the staff is amazing. For the past year, Manny has worked with me on my weight training and he is awesome, encouraging, and very knowledgeable. I enjoy coming and accomplishing my workout goals. Definitely recommend it!
