FirstHealth Dental Care - Southern Pines

Overall good experience.. just very persistent about parent not being with child. My child is only 2 years old and for his next visit, I plan on being with him. It feels kinda odd at a such a young age they are recommending for him to be on his own for his next appt. I will not be coming back.

Today, I have cancelled my daughters' appointment because my youngest child was running a fever and throwing up last night. Instead of saying thank you for letting us know, let us reschedule for you, I was responded with, "Two broken appointments a year will result in emergency visits only." When the other day they called and asked if anyone was running a fever or has been tested for covid in the past two weeks. I guess that doesn't apply 24 hours before the appointment. I already didn't like the fact that parents can't go back with their child after 3 years of age. I will find somewhere else to go if they care more about policies than the safety of my child and others.

They do not allow parents in the back, no matter the circumstances, which was a red flag for me. I brought my son ONE time, and did not return due to my parental rights being stripped the minute my child was in the chair! Absolutely unacceptable and a violation.

I am very upset, the policy has changed and they now no longer allow you to back with your kids for dental work after 3-4? As a parent I am upset by this & do not feel safe. Anything could happen behind closed doors to my child & there isn’t always the same person so they are uncomfortable. I will be switching dentists.

The dentist and all workers are so so nice, polite, and care if there is something wrong or anything like that; they listen to you and be careful. Yes, you might have to wait a while because they are pretty packed at times and have other teeth to clean... so you can not complain if it takes a while. They also have a TV in the waiting room with kid friendly shows so for the wait you can watch and in every individual room there is also a tv with kid friendly shows so no matter how long you wait you have something to do. And for the people saying they can't go back with there child I have went to this dentist my whole life you can go back with your child until they are around 6 years old.
