First State Endocrinology

Dr. Hundal has looked after my thyroid issue since 2020. It has been completely cured as of the June blood test. During the treatment visits as well as consequent follow-up, Dr. Hundal has been very professional. It has been very very easy to discuss the diagnosis, symptoms, and medication with him. He has been very patient with my questions and i feel that he is devoting sufficient time while i am in his office, and on tele-medicine during the Covid period. He has very courteous and prompt staff. Most of the staff interactions are through emails - and these occur within the next office day. Thank you Dr. Hundal for looking after me.

Today I experienced an unfortunate phone encounter with a Felicia aka (Kia) from Dr Hundal's office. This is a public service announcement if you are patient or interested in becoming a patient of this office please find another Dr immediately. She hates her job and it shows after she called herself getting smart with me and or checking me she realized. Hey this conversation is above my 10.00 /hr wage . So she put her 15.00/hr sister Felicia Sr on the phone trying to play the good cop bad cop roll and failed . I said and I quote " Are you a supervisor ? " She replied NO but I'm not the person you where just on the phone with!!! I'm her and I replied Sir please get a supervisor on the phone so I can get my insulin filled. I almost didn't make an appt with this office because of reviews. But in middle of July was told by my PCP I needed to see an endocrinologist. Dr.Hundal was who my PCP referred. Like I said was not going to use him because of reviews. Well Christiana Care has a monopoly on endocrinologists. Tried to get an appt with 6 different docs in Christiana Care's practices and no one could see me at the earliest was end of January 2026!! Really? And they wanted me to have a referral from my PCP. Not for insurance but to make sure I really needed to be seen. Like I just out of the blue thought I want to see an endocrinologist. I have been going to 1st State Endo for over 10 years seeing Dr. Hundal and his team. Dr. Hundal quite literally saved my life when I was going through a terrible health scare. Since then he and his team has always shown compassion and professionalism at every visit. While you do need to schedule out at least 6 months, appointments are always on time, I've never had to wait in the waiting room more than 5 minutes or so. Virtual appointments are available too. If I need assistance it's easy to message through the portal and get a quick response. Highly recommend.
