First Person Care Clinic Boulder Highway

Thought I'd try them out as I was looking for a new physician. The office is dirty to begin with. The staff was friendly. However, after waiting for 2 hours I had enough. There were people there very late for an appointment who got seen and left within 30 minutes. The doctor showed up as I had asked for a refund I told her what happened she said "oh, sorry" in a tone where she clearly didn't care and just went on to the next person. Im not sure why set appointments if the time doesnt mean anything. It was truly disappointing! I took time off work to make this visit and they had no respect for my time.

Dr. Magtoto is the worst. She denied my refill, I was in the area and went to talk to them in person like the last two times I needed my medication because after two months of calling and nobody returning my calls I had enough. She said she didn't handle administrative duties and didn't know anything about messages meant for her. So how are we to communicate??? She said she would approve my refill but here we are the next day and I got a denied text message. So here I am filing a complaint with the insurance company. Skip this place at all costs.

For me as I searched for a new primary due to change of insurance I settled with first person care. I found the entire staff and my Dr to be very professional and attentive of my needs. My first impressions of them were not favorable I admit but I finally found I had enough and asked "why are you treating new patients like you do and it seems as though you talk down to them"? The Dr's nurse answered with "Sir from the second you walked in our door, your health and comfort is and was our #1 concern. Our counter person was not ignoring you, she was trying to get you in to see the doctor as fast as possible by creating a new file of you with the information you provided. As for us nurses you are as new to us as we are to you. So until we do get to know each other, we may look past the persona

Seriously poor service. Showed up 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork and are still waiting more than one hour after the appointment time to see someone. Go to another clinic. 120.00 for self pay and we sit in the waiting room while everyone who came in after us go in. Apparently as a new patient all existing patients go ahead of you no matter their appointment time. So new patients go somewhere else for be prepared to be treated differently

If you want to know why Nevada is ranked among the lowest in the USA for quality of health care, you should visit this place on Boulder Hwy and Tropicana. In my experience, they submit prescriptions without a discussing with me so I have no idea what some of my prescriptions are for. When certain prescriptions require pre-approval by my insurance company, they do not follow through, creating delays. Same goes with referrals, I would get a call from a provider to schedule an appointment and have no idea why. They do not check with my insurance to verify the referral is in my network, creating more delays. I had spoken with my PCP and she took full responsibility but nothing changed. I then asked to meet with the manager of this facility and she was too busy to speak with me when I showed up
