FHCSD PACE – College Grove

I got disqualified from Pace a couple weeks ago because they were concerned about me having suicidal ideations and they were concerned about their own liability if they took me. They believe there wasn't a good fit. Although I had no choice but to accept their decision, I did not appreciate the way they made their decision. There is a photo of a letter that they sent me last saturday. I beg to differ about them giving an example of a person being in an "institutional setting". Also, I believe they should think very carefully about the decisions they're making. Just because a person has ideations doesn't mean they're about to do it. This should be on a case-by-case basis not an arbitrary rule. If someone sees this letter I hope they think about it. This letter was very upsetting to me and

I recently met an Enrollment Specialist with the Family Health Center for Older Adults / PACE program located in College Grove. The meeting at my home was very pleasant and I was told of the many ways the PACE program would help me. The Enrollment Specialist told me that because of my health conditions I would eligible for the PACE program at Family Health Center. The next step in the enrollment process was to go to the clinic for a tour, to meet staff and to do a quick intake interview with their staff RN. The RN would then write a report to submit my case for approval to Dept. of Health Care Services/ State of California. If approved by the state , I would then be in the program- I was told it was a fast simple process to get approval - maybe just 2 days. OKAY- here's where it falls

Place is an all-inclusive health administration for all your needs they're very nice and helpful a nice place to go

Have nothing but good experiences with PACE. Major improvement from where we were before.
