FastMed Urgent Care

I made an appointment for what I thought was a sprained ankle. I got there a few minutes early, was taken back to a room right on time. I only waited a few minutes after vitals were done before someone came in to talk to me and do X-rays. Turns out I had fractured my fibula and needed to see an orthopedist. I was fitted with a boot and given a referral to the specialist. The whole experience was surprisingly a pleasant one from start to finish. Hopefully I won’t need Urgent Care again anytime soon, but if I do I would absolutely go here again. Front Staff was friendly and welcoming, and medical providers were caring and knowledgeable. Today i scheduled an appointment at FastMed for 10am. I arrived on time and had been waiting for 40 minutes until i finally asked the receptionist if she knew when i would be seen, and she said not for another hour. I asked why would they allow me to book an appointment for 10am if i wouldn’t be seen at that time, and she said that everyone had appointments booked around the same time as mine. So i told her to cancel my appointment and left. I chose fast med because it was closer to my home. By scheduling an appointment i felt I’d be able to be seen closer to my appointment time but i wasn’t. I will never go to fast med again

My first experience was a very good one. Walked in before lunch and they were full. Set up an appointment for 3pm the same day. Almost got my panties in a twist when a few walk-ins with no appointment were seen before me. But overall, it was two hours in and out. Not “fast” but effective. Front desk girls were super nice. The nurse and PA were excellent. They laughed at my jokes even though my wife says I’m not that funny. And the PA took time to listen and effectively diagnosed my problem. I had a big knot come up on the side of my face that extended down into my neck. She prescribed ten days of a strong antibiotic and three days in I’m already feeling significantly better. I’m not sure if they are under new management but this go around was much faster and a much better experience!!! Really liked the NP Bernadette I believe her name was. She was so kind and out going thorough and to the point! We were in and out fairly quickly!!

I am beyond disappointed with my experience at this location. I went through the trouble of making a specific appointment time, yet I wasn’t seen until an hour and a half after my scheduled slot. The name "FastMed" is a total misnomer—this experience was anything BUT fast. What should have been a simple 20 to 30-minute appointment took almost two hours to accomplish. Once I was finally brought to the back, it became very clear why there was such a massive hold-up. Most of the staff appeared completely lackadaisical; I saw multiple employees just standing around, talking and laughing while on their phones instead of tending to patients. The only saving grace of this visit was Monique. She was very nice and professional, and it was clear she was the only one actually focused on doing her job
