Fast Pace Health Urgent Care - Homewood - AL

I visited for an acute injury. The receptionist was friendly. The medical assistant was great! She was honestly the highlight of my visit. I was in & out in about 1.5 hours because of a delay with the office understanding tricare. I will not return to this urgent care simply because of the nurse practitioner. Elizabeth Ogletree’s bedside manner was very poor. She never knocked before entering the room on multiple occasions. She talked over me, and I feel as though she didn’t truly hear my concerns which led to quick, superficial treatment. She seemed very rushed and left me in the blind on multiple occasions. She told me I would get “two shots” and that was it. No details until I probed. She never told me I was getting any prescriptions, but two medications popped up on my cvs app. No educ

i love this clinic, they are always so sweet & professional. they answer all of my questions and always make sure i’m comfortable. by far the best clinic i’ve ever been too! it’s always fast, they get you in and right out, and they actually care about your well being. i can’t recommend this place enough!

I normally have a good experience with this facility and have no complaints but I question the process of simple lab draws. As a healthcare provider I have never seen someone required to have vitals and a physical examination for a simple blood draw. The only rationale for this is in the billing aspect meaning a provider visit would get you more payout from insurance vs a simple lab charge. This type of practice places the patient having to pay a higher co pay for unnecessary services. I had confirmed with the facility prior to coming and check the website to ensure I could walk in for labs, no one stated I would need to see a doctor. I was treated with such kindness and respect from the very moment I entered. The staff was compassionate and thorough in treating me and took the time needed without making me feel rushed. I would whole heartedly recommend Fast Pace Urgent Care when you find yourself in need of medical attention.

The place wasn’t busy, which meant I could get quick service. Once I was completely registered I was in and out within about 10 min! The lady was super nice and even suggested a place where my husband I could watch the game.
