Family Medical Center at Round Rock

11/2025 in the thick of RSV season I took my 18 month old baby to this urgent care for respiratory issues . They claim to be able to care for kids and after being there I wouldn’t let them care for my dog. They had no proper equipment to care for children or the proper bedside manner for caring for children. The provider a NP tried to mansplain to me what retractions were. He also tried to gaslight me about her having retractions. He wasn’t even going to do an RSV swab I had to ask for it. He did a 30 second assessment none of which included vital signs. They did not have the proper size equipment for toddlers! Then the XRay tech/medical assistant was just as incompetent. Thankfully I was able to advocate for my daughter. I would not recommend anybody taking their children to this place. T

I was seen here and loved the clinic. I was checked in quickly by Shaundra. Shanique was my MA and had excellent hospitality and professionalism. The provider, Chase, was very helpful and knowledgeable. I will be using this clinic for all of my urgent medical needs from now on.

I had a great experience at Family ER. Dr. Johnson,, Our RN Kathy. And the tech Sam were all amazing with my son. I rushed Him in concerned about his condition. They took him back immediately, ran multiple test, and diagnosed him within an hour. Not to mention reception helped complete my registration as we were seeing the doctor. The entire staff noted my concern, and each of them took the time to explain everything to me thoroughly and really put me at ease. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Amazing staff! Took very good care of my son, I felt safe and as if my son was in very good hands. The staff made sure we were comfortable for our time there and they were very attentive to my child’s health and needs. The doctor made sure to keep us informed as to what his observations were and he ran the necessary tests. I strongly recommend this place!

Everyone there is very professional and nice. The front desk person was welcoming and got me checked in right away. The facility is clean and organized. All the staff could not have been more efficient. The doctor took his time to explain everything very clearly with me. He went over all the lab and test results and answered all my questions. The nurses all took great care of me and checked on me regularly the entire time I was there. I am thankful to have this care available so close to my home. I recommend them highly.
