Family Dentistry of Tualatin Ian Pham, DMD

Long story short, I got tortured in his chair, for just filling one tooth, he could not get me numb then he punctured my gum and drilled into NOT my tooth but my gum all I could feel. I left thought it was me being fussy, I tried to floss the first night the whole floss got stock there because the filling was not smooth and bleeding was abnormal, Had to see another doctor right away to remove the floss. It's been six months and The bleeding was so excessive to the point my tooth turned black. I was ready for the next cleaning, and the new doctor told me that the filling is done very wrong and it's opened up! I am not even sure if he follows all the hygiene protocols

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this dentist on December 12 2024. To clarify, my review does not include the front desk staff, as the receptionist was respectful and even attempted to cover for the dentist's behavior. Firstly, there was a large dog barking continuously for the entire hour. When I inquired about it, I was told the dog was brought in by his sister for babysitting purposes. While I love dogs, a dental office is not an appropriate environment for pets, especially when clients are being treated. Secondly, the dentist seemed rushed and more focused on explaining why he could only bill for one hour than on properly addressing my concerns. I felt dismissed and hurried out without adequate explanations for my treatment. Thirdly, I was alarmed to see the dentist

Ian & his assistant are absolutely amazing, needed a new dentist, very nervous & feeling dumb as a grown adult, I shouldn’t be scared, Ian made me comfortable & they both explained to me what will happen & checked on me every step of the way, significantly reducing my stress. Ian 🙏🏻 thank you for being an amazing dentist & caring for our Native Indigenous people, loved our conversation. Secretary/receptionist is very kind & caring! What a A team! Thank you.😊

My wife recently went to Family Dentistry of Tualatin. My wife was very please with their office, so I decided to make an appointment for myself. The woman at the front desk is friendly and helpful. I try to take good care of my teeth, but was told I brush and floss with too much force. Because of this my gums are starting to recede. Dentist visits make me very uncomfortable and I truthfully to not enjoy the experience. Dr. Pham understood my concerns and surprisingly made me feel at ease. He cleaned my teeth himself, with care, and explained everything thoroughly. I feel he did a good job. I will be back in the future. Thank you Family Dentistry of Tualatin.

Ian was very nice and efficient, did take an hour for xrays because the receptionist/assistant didn't completely know how to set things up properly without the dentist. I'm very anxious of the dentist and would've liked to know I was a "test subject" per say beforehand but she was very friendly and kept my anxiety at bay. Will definitely be back for more work done!
