Family & Cosmetic Dentistry of Jackson

So I only got into this place because it's who the new dental Renaissance Insurance assigned me according to my zip code. I was so thankful because I had been fighting tooth and nail to find a dental office who was accepting new patients with my insurance now that I've moved to town. For starters, they call at like 7:00 or 7:30 am to fit me in and said if I could be there by 8:30 that morning they could see me. I get there and they tell me that my appointment was actually at 8:00 so when they checked me in they put me at the bottom of the list. The whole time I was there watching the time I kept telling them over and over again that I needed to get back there ASAP because I had my cardiologist appointment to get to and I shouldn't have been waiting that long as I was told my appointment w

I had an appointment today they told me they're doing a root canal and a crown, they didn't tell me till after they finished that I have to wait two+ weeks for the crown. They put on a temporary cap and told me not to eat on that side. There is a gap between the temp cap and my gums where food will definitely get stuck and I have never felt this much pain, even with the broken tooth they "fixed" I will absolutely be searching for a new dentist and I have no idea what to do in the meantime. I am in so much pain and they do not answer the phone whatsoever. There is also glue or filling or idk what all over my surrounding teeth and I cant scratch it off.

At this very moment, whoever the lady is that is working the phone, she is very ride and horrible! She answered the phone, said what she said and put me on hold, then hung up on me. I've been calling back but I'm sure she is ignoring it bc I'm not getting to a vcml at all. If this office cares about their patients and actually getting good reviews, y'all should fire this lady immediately. She has to respect or manners. So, to you lady, I'm going to pray for you and your attitude and that this office can deal with you accordingly, bc you are very disrespectful and shouldn't be working the phones at all. I was in need of emergency care for a broken tooth that was causing extreme sensitivity and pain. If that wasn't enough I was beginning to loose the ability to chew food. I called several dental offices in Jackson and most weren’t taking and new patients until after the new year if they had Tenncare Medicaid as their insurance. Just as I was giving up hope on being able to get relief, I received a call from Family & Cosmetic Dentistry following up with me on a email they had received earlier that day regarding my situation. I briefly explained situation , they asked me a few questions and they were able to set me up with a appointment rather quickly. The next day to be exact. Office was easy to find, friendly employees and came up with a plan that would turn my frown upside down. Very Hap

My 3 kids came over from Dr shorts office due to them growing up so I went ahead and switched everyone .... to say the LEAST I personally LOVE Dr Patel..... my 9yr old is a BUSY BODY ..... and he came right in got him situated for his fillings and root canal..... Instead of getting straight to business I witnessed Dr Patel and his assistant Julie take GOOD care of my BABY and MEAN JUST THAT ! They talked to Tyler the whole time and assured him he was the BEST patient of the day ! Any given day I would highly recommend Dr Patel and his staff !!! 30+ years of experience well WORKED !!!!
